Procedure Description:
Bone Density - A Test for Osteoporosis

What To Expect:
On the day of the scheduled procedure, you will arrive wearing loose comfortable clothes. The technician will escort you into the room where the instrument is. You will be asked to lie flat with something propped under your knees. The machine will take a computer generated image of your low back area and your hip. Occasionally the doctor will request an image of your forearm. There are no injections performed. The test is totally painless and lasts about 30 minutes.
